The development history, Dieter Naumann
In 1967, Oswald Naumann became Oswald Naumann KG, and the company moved to its new location in Cologne, Worringen. Mr. Dieter Naumann was the general partner. The company represented the following companies: Rowi Fototechnik, Ako Fototaschen, Paffrath & Kemper Blitzgeräte, Transparol Fotoecken, Stock Filmspulen, Kowa Kameran, Supra Filmleuchten, Heliopan Filters, and Hera Papierwaren. Dieter Naumann began doing business on his own account. He sold Duracell and Varta batteries. Later, the product range was expanded to include flashbulbs, photo lamps, Hauck exposure timers, Sekonic light meters, and Juwel film tracking systems. Dieter Naumann always focused on maximum automation. A teleprinter was soon installed at the new location to quickly and accurately forward orders to the represented companies. This was followed by automated invoicing machines, magnetic card computers, and, starting in 1980, the introduction of mid-range data technology with Nixdorf Computer. The range of services has been expanded to include rack jobbing.
The development history, Bernd Naumann
The new company building was inaugurated in August 1992.
In May 1994, Bernd Naumann took over the company and became Managing Director.
The product range was now digital, and memory cards and mini drives were imported very early on. Digital cameras followed, allowing the company to grow in a still undistributed market. When partner Kingston Technology launched the Hyper X Cloud 1 in 2011, a highly successful development in the gaming industry began, which continues to this day.
Naumann Distribution's range of services has been continuously expanded. The inventory management system has been continuously developed, and a CRM system has been added. This system facilitates the exchange of information with our retail partners.

New Perspectives (2023-present)
Since 2023, Naumann Distribution has been under the leadership of Michael Karrasch, who has brought fresh impetus to the table and initiated targeted strategic changes. Since then, a particular focus has been on the gaming industry, a dynamic market with high demands on availability, logistics, and fast delivery times.
A key step was the introduction of third-party logistics (3PL) as an innovative service offering for manufacturers. This solution enables efficient outsourcing of warehousing and logistics processes, while Naumann Distribution, as a reliable partner, handles the entire logistics process. For gaming manufacturers in particular, this means optimized supply chains, fast distribution, and greater flexibility to focus on product development and market launch.
In addition to strengthening the gaming segment, Naumann Distribution has also established a new sales division for household products. With this step, the company is systematically expanding its portfolio and tapping into new market potential. Thanks to proven distribution structures and strong partnerships, manufacturers in this segment also benefit from efficient logistics and reliable sales.
With these measures, Naumann Distribution, under the leadership of Michael Karrasch, remains agile, future-oriented and ideally positioned to meet the growing demands of the gaming and household goods industries and promote further growth.
